Alicia Machado
Alicia Machado, the beauty queen, actress, and model, was born as Yoseph Alicia Machado Fajardo on the 6th of December, 1976 at Maracay, Venezuela. Alicia is of mixed ancestry. Her father was Spanish as was her mother Cuban. She is a prominent figure on television and beauty contests. Alicia Machado began her rise to stardom when, at the age of 19, she was awarded the title of Miss Venezuela representing Yaracuy. Her crowning achievement came one year later when she won the Miss Universe 1996 title, the fourth Venezuelan to be awarded the coveted title. The time she served in the role of Miss Universe, however, was fraught with controversy and unfavorable media attention due to her weight gain during her tenure. Donald Trump, who owned the Miss Universe Organization at the time, slammed her publicly about her weight gain, saying she was "Miss Piggy" as well as making her do exercises during the media spotlight. The incident ignited a raging rivalry among Alicia Trump as well as Donald Trump.
