Vinita Nair
In July 2004 she was hired by the station covering a number of stories. These included the investigation into the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair started her role as an ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 and was working for ABC News Now. To fulfill her duties as a correspondent provided live reporting and briefings to ABC's channel. Nair was co-anchor on World News Now and America This Morning on ABC starting on September 17, 2008, through February 18, 2011. Nair was co-anchor with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson in both shows. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th of February 2011. Her last day at ABC News would be Friday 18, February. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was her immediate successor. World News Now, February 18th, featured three tributes to Nair. Current and former coworkers appeared on the segment. In her last day she treated all the team to breakfast.
